Karen Krueger is the Assistant Director of Multilingual Services for CHSD 218. Prior to her current position, Ms. Krueger worked as a curriculum director for World Languages and English Language Learning (ELL), and also taught Spanish at Alan B. Shepard High School for ten years. During that time, she served as a lead teacher for foreign language and founded the Gay Straight Alliance.
Ms. Krueger earned a Bachelors degree in Spanish from New York University, a Masters degree in Literacy Language and Culture from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. She developed her love of Spanish through her studies in Cuba and Spain and believes that all children deserve to know more than one language.
